Eligibility:Back to Help
Participants: Only factions with military or piratical roles are allowed to initiate
capture attempts. This ensures that the factions involved have the necessary
resources and strategic inclination.
Preparation:
Declaration: Factions must formally declare their intention to capture a ship,
allowing for potential defensive maneuvers or counter-actions by other factions.
Intelligence Gathering: Factions must carry out missions to collect intelligence
on the target ship’s defenses, operational patterns, and potential vulnerabilities.
This could include electronic surveillance, deploying spies, or capturing enemy
communications.
Capture Process:
Disable/Destroy: The initial phase involves disabling or significantly damaging the
target to prevent escape and lower its defensive capability. This might be executed
through strategicattacks using fighters, bombers, or electronic warfare to impair the
ship’s systems.
Board and Hold: Once the ship is disabled, the faction must deploy a boarding party.
This team must secure critical areas such as the bridge, engine room, and weapon systems.
The ship must be held for one complete rotation, (4 hours real-time) defending against any
counterattacks or attempts to retake the ship.
Outcome:
Success: If the ship is held successfully for the duration, it is considered captured.
Capturing a ship provides the faction with additional resources and strategic advantages
but may require significant repairs and refitting to restore full operational status.
Failure:A failed capture attempt results in resource depletion, loss of personnel,
and potential strategic setbacks. It might also weaken the faction's standing and morale.
